Wheels & Spring Cutting ?'s
Hi, I recently had a Ford F150 '79 passed down to me from my grandfather, it's in great shape and everything but I want to do some body work on it to really make it stand out. I just need some information that I havn't been able to find yet, so if anyone can help me out it's greatly appriciated.
Ok, well I'm considering investing a lot of money on some new rims for the truck, but I'm not sure if there would be any compatibility issues.
1 Do you need to get specific types of rims for specific models of vehicles? 2) how big could I go?
Another thing I'd like to do is lower the truck.
3) Any issues that I would run into chopping the springs?
I'm sorry if this has been covered somewhere else or if there are stupid questions, I'm just in need of some help. Any information will help a lot.

choping the front spring on these truck is not the right way to lower it(look under it). used lowering I beams.
The only problelm with wheels is lug pattern and back spacing.
The truck looks better in person.
