Welcome to FTE!!

Since this all started with the plugs/wires I would focus there. Did you put dielectric grease in all the boots? Did you get all the wires in the correct location? Have you tried putting the old ones back on? Did you check other connections that you may have bumped while doing the work?

The new plugwires had grease in them.I don't have the old wires.I changed the plugs one day and the next day the truck ran fine. The old plugs looked to be original [87000 miles] When I replaced the wires I rechecked the gap in them .0044. Could there be a bad plug? It seems funny that it idles worse when the temp. is cooler. Checked connections and everything seems to be tight.Checked for vaccuum leaks but couldn't find one. The truck runs fine at high speeds. Just out of curiosity would unplugging the MAF sensor make the truck idle up. because like I said the truck didn't die after I did this

Try tapping lightly on the MAF with a scwewdriver handle, if it misses with the taps its a bad maf.
