Drop the cat

Hey Guys,

I would like to get rid of my cat converter and just run 2 1/4 straight pipes to a couple of 2 1/4 glass packs. Would cutting out my cat screw anything up? I have read that it might smell a little, but I am concerned about not having enough back pressure.

Please respond if you have done this on a 3.0.
