Difference between 82 and 83 AOD's?

Difference between 82 and 83 AOD's?
I am getting ready to rebuild an 82 AOD. I want to put in one of those Transgo Reprograming kits but they all say that it is for 83-93 AOD's. What was the difference between the 82 to 83? I really want to put that kit in the tranny but I am not sure if it will work. What do you guys think?
