t.v. cable help needed fast
Hi all. I have a 1992 F-150 302,automatic. The engine was cahanged about 3000 miles ago and ever since it has shifted into third at around 20-22 mph. When cruising at 55 and go to pass it shifts down but seems to be slipping badly. This started at the engine swap. Can some one please tell me how to properly adjust the t.v. cable from the intake to the transmission? Thank you.

On the TV cable there is a lock for the adjuster at the throttle body. If I remember right you press the lock tab in then pull the cable housing back to take the slack out of the cable. Release the lock and move the throttle to wide open. That pulls the cable and housing back to where it is supposed to be.

Thanks Dave and Terry. The reason for the double post was, first, I didn't know it was a bad thing to post in two forums.. Second was I needed an answer as soon as possible. I've had three heart attacks since June and can't work on my truck as I used to. I had help last night and needed advice while my buddy was here to help. Cardioligist appointment this morning and needed the truck fixed before driving to the doctors. Thanks again for the help and take care.
