Hard to shift transfer case
I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 automatic . Lately it has been getting harder and harder to pull back the transfer case lever to engage the 4x4. any suggestions ? It has not been damaged , and the four wheel drive works fine when I can get it engaged.

Hi and welcome to the forum 
I've seen these transfer case shift levers seize up. There are plastic bushings in the lever where it pivots. You can remove the shifter, pull it apart, clean and lube it.
