mass air conversion question with e4od
Do any of the factory mass air equipped trucks use sequential fire or are they all still batch fire? I have a 91 f150 4x4 w/ 5.0 e4od and would like to convert it to mass air and sequential fire, but I'm not sure exactly which computer to use. From what I've read it looks like I would need a computer from a 95 4x4 w/ e4od or use a mustang computer w/ a stand alone controller for the transmission. Is this correct? If so any idea on cost of a trans controller and where to get one?

this is the most expensive upgrade because of the tranny you have. only thing to do is find a new truck with your combo and get the entire harness and ecu. Pro-M or Painless makes a kit cant remember which but runs $1500. the mustang route would not be the way to go.

Actually almost every vehicle I own has a 5.0 HO motor in it and I have lots of cams, heads, etc. laying around and have been thinking about throwing together a new motor out of "spare parts" If I do get a truck computer and wiring will it still be batch fire or sequential? Between the trans, ifs, and motor I'm starting to think I should sell it and buy a 78 or 79 and spend the extra money on a big block and lockers
