Rain gutter removal

I'm building a 1960 Panel that has some serious rust issues around the rain gutter. As this is a problem with these trucks, I was wondering if there has been anyone that has removed the drip rail as a repair. And whether there has been any problems with the door gasket leaking because of it.

I wanted to go with a more smooth look and it will be MUCH easier to mate the roof to the inner door and windshield frame... But I will be semi-daily driving this thing and I take showers at home, not while driving...

Thanks nixer,
I was wondering if anyone had problems with the water getting inside the truck. But after looking at the way the door seals, the water will be going around the door and down to the step area.

Thanks again for the help.

that is if your drip rail isnt cracked at the end if it is then it could run inside and down into the rear cab corner
