Frame Strength
I have heard that the 81's have a weak frame compared to 82+, does anyone have any info on this? I am planning on building a prerunner and would like to avoid any inherant weakness such as a known poor frame! Also, suspension wise how different are the 1980-1986 from the 1987 to 1996 F-150'S??? Is there any at all? Im planning on using Camburg custom beams, Camburg radious arms, king coilovers and a 4 link rear suspension. Im using a set back and lowered 351W for power. THanx for the help!

if you look at some of the frames, you will see that some look like swiss cheese. i think these are 81-82 f 100 only, but i am not sure. i would stay away from them for a prerunner.
