I've got some technical questions. First of all if anyone ever needs any help, let me highly recommend DesertDave. He's been tremedously helpful on another thread we currently have working.
My question is this: the wires that connect the fuel cut-off switch on an 86 bronco (two yellow wires) have a third wire bundled in with them: a green wire. That wire has its own spade connector (female). As it is now, I've had to wire in a power feed to the 2 yellow wires connected to a switch under my dash orignally used for off-road lights. When i flip the switch, my fuel pumps come on. Is there a reason why the two wires wont feed each other power? I know I one of the yellow wires is hot as it made my test light come on. But nothing happens on its own without that outside power source... Any thoughts? Does that 3rd, green wire have anything to do with the problem? and where does that spade connector connect anyway? I dont have any unplugged wires (other than compressor which is not in use).
thanks in advance.

Reason: needed more info
I never seen this problem, but when my switch popped I had to take it out all together, since it would always act funny with it in. Sometimes on sometimes off, I now have one from the junkyard out of another car. Not sure about the wire, look at the chiltons or other wiring diagram.
