Need help with driveshaft!

Could someone please explain to me how remove the second half of the drive shaft on my truck (behind the bearing), or do i have to take the whole thing out?

I can slide the thing out but just to hear, then it stops.

If I remember right I believe that collar where the grease zerk is will unscrew from the yolk then you can finish pulling drive shaft.

It doesn't unscrew. I just did a 86 and a 89, and it is just hard rubber that sits in a lip. You can try bumping the shaft off with a mallet, or pop off the grease cap and it will slide right off. The splines are hitting on the seal.
The carrier bearing is the real pain to remove!!!!
