Coolant bursting! HELP!

I have 2004 CC 6.0 with predator, afe progaurd 7, and straightpipe exhaust. The problem is when I mash the throttle with predator 65hp or 100 hp, coolant absolutely bursts out the over flow. I've been running the predator for close to 6 months now and the coolant problem just started about two months ago. I took it to the dealer last week and they did a pressure test and found that the radiator cap was bad. Right when i got the truck back, it did it again! It doesn't do it with stock tune though. I've read all related threads, tried running the reservior low(1 in below MIN) but still does it. In fact, at one point it had put out so much coolant that my heater would only put out cold air at idle. Filled it back up and got heat back. I know that there has to be a solution. HELP!!!

Did you try disconnecting the cancerous wart? (aka EGR).

Didn't disconnect the EGR. I thought the EGR had nothing to do with coolant pressure. COrrect me if I'm wrong.

This is only a theory, (but I am a scientist), that when you mash the throttle on a modded engine and get the sudden increase in Exhaust Gas Temp, you flash-boil the coolant in the EGR cooler and this causes a spike in coolant pressure. The spike in pressure causes the pressure cap on your coolant overflow tank to vent, (the coolant caps are designed to vent at a pre-set pressure). If the EGR cooler is denied the constant stream of hot gas going through it, (EGR unplugged), then you wouldn't get the flash boil of your coolant. All theory, but might be happening in your engine.

i am a ford diesel tech i agree unit needs more diagnosis the coolant boiling issue does not make sense and can not see it happening either you're egr cooler is leaking or the unit has bad head gaskets have you're dealer install a psi gauge inline of one of the 2 3/8 lines going to the degas bottle and go for a drive even in stock position get unit warm and pull it hard up a hill watch the gauge if it goes to like 20 + psi the heads are being lifted off the block causing combustion gas to leak into the cooling system the heads will have to come off be checked for warpage and leaking gaskets chances are at least one head will be leaking in my experiences the pass side head seems to be the worst and that head will also be warped only .004" warpage allowed and they are boat anchors if warped they can not be machined as the valves are flush with the head any other questions ask i have done lots of these heads and they are not fun to do either

I thought that the EGR cooler might be "Flash-Boiling" the coolant and making it spit out the reservoir cap.....Changing the subject and going back to the cylinder heads..... In years past, it used to be a common practice on high compression engines to re-torque the cylinder heads after break-in. I wonder if the guys who re-program their engines might benifit from re-torquing their heads before going for the high performance mods.
