steering wheel audio control

2005 superduty. the steering wheel audio control will not go through my presets on the radio, it will only seek. Is it suppose to do that and can I change it to go through presets instead?

That's the way it works.

This question comes up every month or so and as yet no one has posted any notice that Ford has a fix for it.

Had an Escort loaner yesterday and it cycled through the presets on its control stork. I'm not going to be happy if my $60,000 (cdn) truck wont do what an escort will when it arrives in a couple of weeks.
