Fuel Filter Light
I was talking with a buddy of mine who has a '97 PSD and he said he was getting on the highway today and when he was on it pretty good, reving out the gears, the "Fuel Filter" light was flickering, what is this all about, is there a little sensor that senses when the pressure drops below a certain point???
I told him to get a new filter, I am sure thats what it is, but what is this light all about I never saw it on mine, and have never heard of it.

Mine did the same thing this weekend. Truck still ran fine though. I was on the freeway doing about 70 mph, was almost home and had a cranky baby in the back seat so couldn't really stop at the moment. I'll admit, I'm bad about not draining the filter. The light never did come back on, and I replaced the filter today. I assume it had something to do with water in the fuel, since it is winter and I've heard this is common. If so, shouldn't the water in fuel light come on instead?
