Exhaust leak question

Exhaust leak question
My father has a 02 4.6 with an exhaust leak on the drivers side. I know the heads are aluminum so do I need to de-torque and re-torque the exhaust manifold on when replacing the gasket.What numbers and sequence? Thanks

I would replace the studs, including the studs from the manifold to the cat pipe. I would recommend NOT using a cheap after-market gasket and hardware. I just did this on my 5.4, and I didn't want to do it twice. As far as sequence and torque, I don't remember the details off hand. I'm sure someone does though! Good luck. Rob
