Offroad carb ?
My newest project needs a little more giddy up. 79 Bronco w/400 completly stock except for exhaust. So I thought I'd start with a mild cam intake and carb. Have'nt decided on the bump stick yet but I picked up a Performer 400 intake and Performer carb used for $60.00. Dont know to much about these carbs for off road use.
I know alot of guys that are running Edelbrock performer carbs in street setups.
Are any of ya'll running one offroad if so how does it perform?
Has anyone tried the Holley Truck Avenger?

I have a Edelbrock 600 C.F.M. Carb. They sell off road jet's and other doo-dads for them. I have heard good things about the Holley Truck Avenger. However the price was pretty steep for me. I have also heard that Holleys are very touchy, I am not a touchy feely guy!!!!!! Go to the Edelbrock web site and they will also have a cam to match the intake and carb for some nice power. My Edelbrock out of the box is running perfect, no adjustments as of yet. The new engine only has about 5 miles on it, need to re-register the truck. However after break-in, she will be fully tested!!

Heard good things about both(haven't looked into em much as I have EFI). But what I'm postin for is that you might want to consider propane. Its not just a diesel thing. It cost a bit of money, but it never stalls, propane prices aren't bad, and you get a boost of power. Ill try to find the site that sold the stuff for the conversions.
