rad cap is cold????

rad cap is cold????

1996 F150 I6, drive home from work (40 min) truck is hot, hoses are warm, i've got heat in the truck.......but my rad cap is cold??? is this normal. just replaced thermostat a month ago, everything seemed fine. any suggestions.

Sort of sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed....radiator isn't seeing the hot coolant. If this were summer you'd be overheating. Are you in the cold north?

Check the actual radiator tank and see if ti's warm, it should be..if not then i second the tstat.
