I plan to order a new Ex. the dealerships keep low balling me for the trade in. I'm considering selling the one I have instead of trading it. I've even considered keeping this one cause they are so low on price... I'll consider suggestions from those who have been in this place before. HELPPPP...
What do you have? Trim, motor, 4x4, etc...You should be able to get $5-$7 grand more for private sale. They will make money off the new car and off the trade-in. Good Luck.
I wanted to reade my EX in....it was not pretty. I do have 03 with v10 and that killed it. Trying to sell it now with no luck so i guess I will just keep it. Thats my only opition....
good luck!
Thanks for the responses. I have a 2000 XLT 4X4 with the V 10. It's a great truck. I've owned it for almost 5 years. My plan was to trade up when I have it paid off and or when they quit making it... Any one interested in a good used Ex?
I think you always do better selling it outright, even if the market is soft for your used vehicle.... The dealers play games with numbers on selling price, trade-in and interest rates to make you feel better.. In my opinion, you wont get the same value as a straight deal with mostly cash, or a loan you obtained on your own. (exceptions being factory special rates on new vehicles you couldnt match in lending institutions)
One day I may be in your postion.. and I have thought about what I would do... For now I have a 2002 with 30K miles.. so I am fine for a bit.. By the time I am ready to get another vehicle I am hoping my kids are all out of the house and I can get something small.. like the F250 crew cab!
