S Code Motors
Can someone explain what the S code motors are all about? I am looking for a motor, 390, and have found one out of an '67 Fairlane. It is an S code. It is easily seen on top of the intake.

The "S" code motor were generally found in the GT trim package cars. This can be found as the the 5th digit in the vehicles (cars) VIN. The "S" code intake you are referring to is simply a "better" version of the standard four barrel intake found on your basic run of the mill FE's.
