zf 5spd
I have a81 bronco with the 4spd manual tranny . I also have a zf 5spd sitting in my garage that I would like to swap in. my ? is has anyone done this or similiar swap? my main concern is the hydraulic clutch linkage and mounting of the master cylinder.I have a 302 and it is the small block zf.

I had looked into swapping a ZF in my old 89 and here is what I found. My firewall had the knock stamped in the firewall where the hyd MC went so I had snagged a set of clutches pedals from a junk truck. I never installed because I sold the truck. I do believe the trans cross member may have to be moved back a couple of inches again not sure and also drive shafts made to the correct length.
I also read a post on another forum where a guy found the factory plug to connect to it so the truck would not start unless the clutch pedal was down.
