i have the opportunity to pickupan e-350 with a rotted body. I was thinking about getting it and replacing the engine, transmission, steering column, etc... from my e-150 (pics at www.khronosrings.com those wondering about the paintjob, it was done by children at an art camp held by the local art gallery.) and I am wondering what I am getting myself into, and if it is even possible.
here is what I am expecting:
replace motor mounts
replace tranmission mount
replace wiring harnesses
replace steering column and dashboard
modify driveshaft
possibly replace the fusebox
what else am I looking at? will i have to replace the springs, fuel pump, etc? Will the other dashboard even fit? or can i make do with the one that is there. there will be some indicator lights that will be missing though. I think I am asking for more trouble than the swap is worth. Any suggestions? the only other swap i have done is a 267-350 in an '80 malibu about 5 years ago. that one was pretty easy compared to what i think this one is going to be.
