Despite what K&N says about power increases, and inproved MPG, you will prolly not see any, the only real difference is in the filtering abilities, and as most people on here will tell you, K&N's aren't that good, and neither is the stock box.
Do a search on KWIK filter, or NAPA 6637, alot of guys are running it, or look at the thread called "NEW AIR FILTER ON MY TRUCK", its huge.

I`d have to give my vote for Tymar, Give Dale a call, great guy ,great product
hanklin
Sorry for being short. But there are tons of threads about this and it always turn to arguments, I second what Hanklin says....... Give Dale a call. The tymar has great filtering capabilitys and thats what really matters!
Keep the K&N it's a great product!! Had one on my F250 for 183,000 miles with no problems!! It will not get you better fuel mileage or horsepower but you will not have to buy those filters every 10,000 miles!!

Unlike everyone says mines working great, nothing in the intake tube and i'm getting killer fuel milage, got my truck up at 21-23mpg around town with almost 245,000 miles on the truck. As long as you know how to clean the filter and you don't let it go for 5 years before cleaning it your fine, i clean mine every 5000miles.
Changed all the fluids in the truck (except the differentials still have to change them), put a tonneau cover on it, auto tranny, 4.11 or 4.10 can't remember (to used to thinking of the 9" in my car), put the homemade intake on, cut the cat off, still need to take the muffler off, and have a 5.6K mod on a switch. I found the best thing was changing the fluids and the intake, when i first bought the truck it was getting 10-12mpg, changed that stuff and got it up to 14-15, then i put the tonneau on and took the cat off and put the 5.6K mod in and never got an accurate reading because I was too busy playing with all the new found power. But I found towing a 5000lb trailer I got 20mpg with freeway/town driving. lately i've been getting the 21-23mpg around town but if it snows I get back into playing too much and it goes threw fuel like crazy. its a 96 4x4 std cab long bed with 244,580 miles, and I found that mpg dropped off abit in the cold weather and after 4000miles on the oil.
