The big thing about sleep is that accumulates. Think of it as a credit card that must be paid off sometimes. Your body being sick is a way for it to tell you that you are going too much and need more rest. I really feel your pain with the gym, because I always go and if I go when I am sick it seems like I get over the illness quicker. I normally go to sleep at 10:00 and wake at 5:00, but sometimes I get more and sometimes I get less thanks to two kids.
I get anywhere from 6-9 hours depending on the day. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights I usually get about 6-7 hours, Tuesdays, about 8-9 hours, Saturdays and sundays about 7-8 hours, and fridays, it depends on when I finally settle down for the night, usually about 6-8 hrs. and i'm tired all the time, until about 5 pm, then i can't sleep after that until about 12-1am I'm a definite night owl
depends on work. last week i got called told to report @ 0200 and that was a 0000(midnight)
