Control Trac doesnt work in Auto 4wd
I have a 97 Explorer Sport 4wheel drive, SOHC V6 with 4.10 gears. My Explorer has the the Control Trac 4 wheel drive. It has a Auto 4 wheel drive, 4 hi, and 4 lo. The problem is, that although my 4 wheel drive works great in 4 hi and 4 lo, the Auto 4 wheel drive never engages, and is always in 2 wheel drive. I need to get this fixed, since my wife and I live in the mountains, and many times during the winter, there is ice on the road.
Does anyone know if there is a fuse, or sensor to check?
