can't find right sized muffler

I went out and measured my exhaust pipe. After the cat the pipin is 2.5" and i can't find a flowmaster 40 series with a 2.5"si/ 2.5"do. All i can find is a 3"si/ 2.5" do. What could i do?

you need to have a Y-pipe made up to split the rear pipe into 2 of them. The main reason for this is because you keep the same flow with 2 2-1/2's and a 3" or should i say close to the same. Try jegs or jc whitney or something like that. also have you checked exhaust shops.

so would i need to use two mufflers then. I really just want to be able to install just the muffler and not have to screw with a whole lotta stuff. Would it be better to get a 2.5"si/2.5"so. Would this make the same sound as a si/do would. Also what difference does having the entry and exit of the muffler offset create.

put the Y-pipe after the muffler and then run the dual pipes after the muffler out of the Y-pipe. does this makes sense? it's hard to explain 1 pipe into the si/so muffler into a y-pipe and the out to the exits
