Mats to replace cab floor covering?
I've had to rip the original floor covering out of my 79 f250. The heater core leaked, it got under the rubber mat, and soaked all the insulation under there.
ow I'm thinking that I'd like to replace it with something that can be easily removed regularly for cleaning and drying the floor. But obviously just a big pieve of carpeting is going to make bulges and folds going over the cab floor topography.
I want something that pretty muc covers all of the floor - not just a pair of dinky floor mats - something goes right over the hump.
Is there such a thing out there for Ford trucks?
Thanks.
Here is a link to the replacement carpet that is already molded to fit your truck.
My only hesitation is the $140US pricetage. I was thinking maybe $50Cdn.
Does anyone know if there's such a thing as "fits all" truck carpets/mats that are one piece (ie, one big carpet that goes over both sides of the floor and the hump) that might be cheaper?
One thing I did on an old Dodge was just buy a 20 piece of remnant carpet and glued it in. In front of the seat looked pretty good, under the seat was a different story. I could of cut the carpet, but I was lazy and the truck wasn't worth the effort. You can take a regular piece of carpet, just take your time and and you will get everything visible looking good.
Then you can get a good set of floor mats to keep everything clean.
