now i've seen it all. someone is selling electric turbos on ebay. they say they have a 3" inlet, 3" outlet and flow 1200 cfms. they claim 5+ psi of boost. how many can you mount on a 6.9 or 7.3? no exhaust modifications. may make a good ram air system? i don't know and don't need on either, but for 135.00 someone may want to experiment. i'll stick with my bank's. also anyone seen the 1974 vette with the 6.5 diesel and bank's turbo? anyone interested i can get the ebay item #.
Can not call that a turbo if it does not tie into the exhaust. A supercharger maybe but not turbo.
They claim 5 PSI on what motor. A 7.3 goes through 848 CFM at 3300 RPM so I doubt the 1200 CFM would build 5 PSI.
There's NOWAY they could build any pressure, not for $135! Think of how much juice you would have to run just to get 5+boost? I mean how many batteries would you have to run, 10? I did a Google search and found alot of Electric Turbos! HA!
