Hehehehe. Reminds me of how my wife used to say she was going to gas-up the truck, and I'd giver her a stern look. She would roll her eyes and say "sorry, FUEL up the truck".
First time she said it (we had been dating for a while) I told her NO, we do NOT "gas up" the truck. Its a diesel. Its not gas. Its FUEL. Gas=bad, FUEL=good.
She can't stand the smell of diesel itself, and has never understood my love for the stuff. The smell, the noise, the whine of the turbine -all music to me.
The "hot foot" mod helps a little. There is a microswitch on the pedal that is actuated when the pedal is depressed. You bend the small metal tab (away from the switch) that the switch arm rides on so that the switch responds faster when you hit the pedal. Just don't bend it too far, or the truck will not return to idle. To make it even a little better, take the screws out of the sensor mounted higher up the pedal and elongate the holes in the sensor to allow you to twist the sensor just slighty rearward. Check out Baz's PSD pages for a better explanation. http://pages.prodigy.net/stevebaz/index.html

Thanks for that, although I was making a lame attempt at having a sense of humor. Just couldn't think of any other uses of fuel/gas non-interchangeability at that particular moment (It was early, leave me alone)
