Front Diff. Oil Weight
For my '02 with the D60 up front, the manual calls for 80w90 lubricant. Being totally obsessive, all the replacement fluids & lubricants in my truck must be Mobil1 or I will lay awake at night thinking about it. Mobil1 offers 75w90 gear oil, which I'm sure is just fine to use. Whats the main difference between 80w90 and 75w90, and what problems might come up from using it?
Greasing Poly Mounts
I've always heard you need to grease new poly bushings or they will squeak like crazy. I'm about to swap out my OEM body mounts with a set of Daystar poly mounts (OEM's are creaking & popping like a bowl of Rice Krispies). What kind of grease should I use? Regular wheel bearing grease such as the Mobil1 I've got in my grease gun? Or maybe white lithium grease, or silicone grease??
