I installed the Gibson cat-back on my 2000 X V-10,and man what a difference.
It's a little loud at 1600 rpm inside the cab,but i don't mind at all.All the neigbors
tell me that the truck sounds great, and they know when i'am coming home.
Hope this helps.
I had the Gibson it was a litte to loud for me (lots of drone while on the highway, I replaced it a Banks system headers and catback, much quieter. Just my $.02
I'm on my second Gibson cat back system. The first aluminized kit rusted out at the rear muffler flange in four years. I like it. Not too loud, but open when you open up the throttle.
Got the Gibson 3" cat back system agree with low rpm droning sound, but got used to it now I like it. I also took mine to local muffler shop and system fully welded on.
Banks Is For Diesel Applications Correct? Gibson Makes A Couple Different Cat Back Systems And The Swept Side Is Suppose To Be The Quietest One. I Only Want It A Little Louder Than Stock. I Have A Z28 That Is Loud And It Fits Being A Sports Car. This Is My Tow Vehicle Which I Do A Ton Of Towing, The Last Thing I Want Is To Be Towing And Be Annoyed With A Rumbling Exhaust. Imagine If My Wife Was Trying To Watch A Movie In The Ex And Have A Lot Of Exhaust Noise I Would Be In The Dog House. It's Not That I Don't Like Loud Exhaust Just Not On My Ex Or I'll Have An Ex-wife. Thanks For All The Input On The Exhaust.
