I just bought a used fabtech 3.5 inch front lift kit and i do not see a track bar bracket and i went to fabtechs web site and downloaded the instalation guide and it did not say anything about a differant track bar bracket ???????????????????????????? Can i use my stock one or is it going to push the front end over?
All that comes in the kit is the 3.5" hangers and brackets to relocate the stock shackles.....optional replacement front crossmember.
No trac bar bracket or pitman arm is included.
If it was my truck I'd install a adjustable trac bar. If you do a drop trac bar bracket you'll want to add a matching drop pitman arm to keep the steering geometry the same.
I would cut it, sleeve it with a piece of tubing that will go from end to end, drill some holes through the outer tubing, weld the ends and weld up the holes.
If the sway bar is pulled up, you can flip the upper sway bar link mounts from inside the frame rail to below the frame rail. Two bolts hold the upper sway bar link mounts to the frame rail plus the upper sway bar link bolt goes through the frame as well. So three bolts per side, flip the mount, reinstall the bolts.
That's what was done per the instructions when we installed my 4" Rancho.
