well thanks to very close family upholsters, ive got the hook up to go with leather seats....along with matching suede door panels and headliner...of course that wont get into the works for a few more months while i get everything else done....im think im going a reddish color with a brown/tan interior, should look sharp when done
so id go with suede...get a fur steering wheel cover if thats what floats your boat..haha...in my mind when i think leopard skin, i think lingerie

Huron, When we were your age, most anything reminded us of womens underwear. Sadly, it fades to some degree over time.

Six

Give us a little detail on what you're up to. Gluing fabric straight to the dash? If you go real "way out there" like leopard skin, you're going to have to live with the fact that folks will either love it, or think you ruined a good truck. There will be little middleground.

At the risk of sounding harsh, forget the fake leopard stuff... go with suede if you think you have to upholster the dash. I'm not sure that this has anything to do with hotrodding your ride or 'darksiding'. It does sound like fun though. good luck, himmelberg

i realized that i should mention im not talking about just a fabric with the pattern, but fo fur is whats used on stuff animals... personaly having the fabric with the pattern would just look tacky... plus if i ever hit my head on the dash there will be some padding!!!! and there will be always debate over someones style, some people thing you should restore a classic, other rod it, me rat rod... its been dub "darkside" for a reason... like i said a personal taste

Hey, six, nothin says luvin' like a furry leopard dash! I think it would give it personality!
although I'm sure some would debate what type of personality... I'm wanting to build a white and black Felix the cat theme truck and I'm sure some simply won't be able to appreciate the syle either!

fenders, i have to agree, but im sure even a "old" guy like you has his days.. leopard skin is still in probably the top 3 ...haha....
on a cleaner note, i do have to agree with rhw though...you could really have a nice set up inside there with the dash, headliner, if you have buckets, ive seen some nice seat covers.....youve got a good idea, go with it
