Dash Lights
I keep blowing my dash light fuse in my 76 F-250 4x4, no matter if I put a 9 amp fuse in. Do I need to get a new dash circuit piece, or do I have a short somewhere? I already replaced the headlight switch. This thing has been wired for a trailer, a camper and second aux. batt. for the camper by the previous owner (s), so there are a lot of wires and connections. Just curious if this is a common problem for these years.

The instrument cluster lighting is made up of a printed circuit & a Blue/red striped wire.
This wire runs lighting for the Radio,Cigar Lighter.
Many times a person will use the cigar lighter wire for tach lights,etc
Time for you to do some wire tracing.
Make sure you pull the cluster out to check everything.
