I would like to improve my low end power. i have an 2002 3.0L auto, to be honest acceleration was disapointing. ideally the hp mod would not reduce my fuel economy or cost a lot (although i realize that may be asking too much)
HP mods do cost money if you want noticeable gains.
"Speed costs money, how fast do you want to spend?"
My thought would be to get a chip. Firm up shifts, raise shift point (higher revs = into beef of powerband = better mpg and performance) and tweak timing a smidge.
Running premium might be a drawback, though.
That might leave you at intake/exhaust modding then...
