i want to hear from people that have had their trucks bought back from ford i want to know what you did to qualify how many times was the truck in the shop and did you have to get a lawyer to represent you.
I beat ford on my 00 Expedition and got a 04 EB Expedition which I have just started the lemon law process on also. The process took about 8 months last time. This is my 3rd Ford I have owned and my last.
Here is a starting point, the laws are differnet state by state. http://www.mylemon.com/NJ_Lemon_Law.html
Also if the lawyer looks at your case and wants you to front the $$ for the case it means he doesnt think you are going to win the case. If he takes it on free of charge it means you have a VERY good chance of winning and in that case and FORD has to pay YOUR legal fee's to YOUR Lawyer which is usually in the range of 2000 - 3000.
4 times in the shop for repair. 1 for cleanup, 5 total.
17 Days out of service less than 9 month old vehicle.
No lawyer.
Went through Dispute Settlement Board.
Ford replaced my 03 with an 05 and it took about 4 months. It took 2 call to the ford 800 customer service and telling the service dept to get in touch with the zone service manager. I had it in the dealership a total of 8 times for high speed nibbling when the Zone Service Manager decided to replace it. It was fairly painless and the zone manager took care of everything. It was a msrp to msrp swap and included having a new remote starter installed. As disappointed as I was in the 03, Ford came through with the 05. Much superior truck and a pleasure to drive. I have a couple of minor issues that have to be corrected, but I will continue buying fords. I had warranty issue with my GM and Toyota cars that went unresolved or the cars were just a POS. Thats why I'm back with Fords.
