79 4x4 stepside plastic model

Just wanted to see what you guys thought of this.

I made a model of my brother's truck and gave it to him for christmas.

I had to take the box from a 1937, create the fenders using the optional dually fenders from the old 70's Ford truck models, Then had to use the suspension and running gear from the 79 bronco model....because thats the only one ever made with coils in the front. The bronco frame was too short so I had to stretch it out a little.

All in all I think its pretty close.

Nice job, considering you had to make do with what you had on hand. I get periods of time where I like to work on models also. Fun to wire the engine, gas lines, etc. Lot of work though.

That's awesome, but that took alot of time and work. Where did you get the bronco model and what scale is it?

The 70's trucks and bronco models have been out of production for over 20 years, Thank god for ebay!
