It only took me about 30 minutes in my '86 F250. Just disconnect the hoses, remove the "box" part of the glove box, take the cover off, and pull the old heater core out. It was really easy, and I would assume that it would be similar in your F150.

Exactly right Kris. My swap out on my 85 took longer than that but only because it had aftermarket A/C. Without the A/C it's as easy as you described.
Well I hope yours is easier than mine. Granted mine is an '84 F150, but no one I had talked to had seen one of mine either. I had to pull the dash and remove the screws (in a VERY tight space) from the inside to get the black box visible from the engine compartment loose. Then I had to find the little guy, which took a special order, but it is factory. I just have that sort of bad luck with my truck. I am hoping yours is as easy as another I did on an 86 F150. It was quite simple like the others have described.
Just replaced mine last winter on my 84 f-150. Its like one of the guys said took out the glove box and removed the cover and there it was. About 30 minutes later, back in business. Good Luck!
