i have a '77 150 with a 351m i'm lookin to swap for more power. with some of the mods that are coming up im looking for more get up with out adding alot of weight. this truck will not be street legal once im done. so mpg isn't in issue. any and all sudgestions welcome.
i've already got a 600 edlebrock carb, performer 400 edle. intake, and headman headers 1 and 5/8 di. not sure about the came but suspect it to be stock
lovmy77, If your not going to be street legal, miles per gallon are no problem do your self a favor and go for the 460. There is no replacement for discplacement.
I have a 73 F 100. I pulled a 390 out and went on up to the 460. The 460 is basicly stock. I have 3.00 rear gears. I can boil the tires, and I don't think it has a top end. At 100 MPH, the engine is just starting to breathe good, and I'm not gutsy enough to drive an old pick up faster than that. I'm still getting 12 MPG by the way.
