Help ID a part and possible fix
My father's truck recently developed a rattling from the front end... It's a 2000 SD, XLT, 4x4, 5.4L... I think we've narrowed the rattle down (See picture)
We think it's the bushing pictured, but we aren't sure... Anyone else come across this problem? Is it easy to replace yourself (It looks it) and, what' the "Official" name of this part?

I beleive Ford calls it the stablizer bar bushing. It contols the roll or sway of the truck when turning. I call it a sway bar.
My 2004 F250 2X4 had a similar noise which sounded like a dog chain rattling when I hit a bump. Come to find out the bolts on both sides of the bar were loose from the factory. You might try tightening it up first before replacing the bushing.
