Help, keyswitch issues
I'm stuck in a 30 min space at school. My switch just broke. It turns on the ignition and fuel pump but not the starter, so I jumped the post on the fender to crank it. I thought i was home free, but it won't let me go past reverse becaus the switch thinks its turned off. How can I bypass this before the parking ***** get me.

I had the same problem a few years ago on a 90 F150. The only thing you can do is disconnect the linkage at the trans and a count the notches on the transmission lever as you reposition the transmission lever from park to drive the third position should be drive. now you need a second person to hold their foot on the brake, now you have to jump the starter cellinoid while in gear. when you get it home use your emergency brake because you have no park. I had to do this at 2:00 in the morning to get home one night. BE CAREFULL WITH IT.
