I think I'm pretty much done with the cab & bed systems, just finished the install of 2 sets of CDT Audio CL-61A 6-1/2" Component System in the 4 doors.
The center Panel with the A/c and radio with the crome air vents. I am assuming that the door parts came from the same place.(window switches, door handle trim, and window switch panel trim)
And if you have a chance check out my web page, i'll take any advice on where to go next.My Truck
ahh..ok, the black parts are factory parts I smoothed & painted, the vents are just billet overlays. You have a nice truck. Everyone has there own ideas of what works & doesn't work, check out my gallerys & you will get some ideas on which direction you want to go in.
Good Luck

Ok kewl, howd you do it. Dont wanna be a pain, but my trucks similar just with the twon tone paint, and i kinda wanna make it stand out when i start goin to car shows(Hopefully this spring). Any low budget things i could do to make it stand out more and more personal would be great.
And would you recomend the same thing on some of the underhood plastic.

If I had to do it over again I would have sent out all the parts that I painted to a paint shop. What a PITA, once I got everything smoothed out I wanted a glassy smooth finish. Too get that with spray cans I really had to lay on the clear..I got pretty good @ it & knew about when was to much & when it was going to run. The problem with that is the paint takes forever...I mean months to harden & sometimes it will crack in places. I may sometime down the road buy all new pieces..I have 2 already & have a friend of mine that painted my hood, bumper cover & rollpan paint them professionally.
Thats not a bad idea cuz i got a friend that does body work as well. I was also thinkin of makin the lettering on the throttle body cover Chrome/Silver, and do the same thing with the stripes on the stock intake tube.
Would this be a good set up for the underhood silver, 2 coats of paint then ? clear coats?
Sure thing, I know with spray cans once you top the silver with clear it turns a grey color. I'm sure that won't happen with professional paint since you have silver on your truck, just have them match the paint codes & it will look great.
Thats an even better idea, i was just gonna use spray cans. Cuz i might get some new paint on the front fender caps anyway cuz they are chiped a bit from the last owner. That and to save money do it my self after hours, and learn how to paint for my self. Then it will only cost me for paint.
I know i am such a nusiance but i looked at your gallery and love the truck. How did you mount the lights behind the grill.
Any other ideas would be great all i got right now are lighted Frame/ Washer Jets, and some Eurolite clear corners. I have other stuff posted on my site as well.
Theres several ways of mounting them, the best way is to make an L bracket & bring it off the support frame for the radiator. I mounted mine on the cross beam but I don't use mine driving anyway..its more for show & then I only use the angel eyes part of the light. If you mount to the crossbeam as I did they will vibrate some.
Ok sounds good i got a set of fog lights that look ugly mounted to the outside but i might see about mounting insde the grill. Any thing you removed to get at it, I know the plastic shield accross the top would have to come out.
Sry im just so hungry for ways to make my truck my own.
