429-460 the same block need help asap

429-460 the same block need help asap
I have a chance to buy a 429 engine out of a courger 1970, whould this engine have 4 bolt main caps.how can I tell with out dropping the oil pan? any help whould be great and can I put a 460 crank in it?

It might have 4 bolt caps but unless it is a boss or scj the only way to tell is pull the pan. And yes you can put a 460 rotating assembly into that block there is no difference in the blocks just the crank, and pistons.
