I'm looking at a truck that has everthing I want but also a Snowplow package. I never intend to have a snow plow. Will this affect ride alot because of springs? Also, will it sit nose up without the plow on it?
I have an 03 F250 CC. I plow with it. When the plow is off, it looks normal.
As for the ride.... well it is a truck. If I want a cushy ride, we take the wife's car. Don't be afraid of the plow package, it won't hurt you.
I have a 05 F350 with the snow plow package and it rides very good with the plow off of it. Sits ok with no plow on it. Front is not higher than back. Tim R.

I haven't seen the truck in person.
what year truck is it? if its a 2000-2004 i will be happy to swap you my non snow plow package "V" code 5200 lb springs for your "X" code 6000 lb springs, if thats what you have
JeffreyK....It seems like every new SD I look at in this area of the country has the snow plow package added to it...I have a 2002 F-250 SD 4x4 XLT 7.3L with the snow plow package on it (much to my dismay, because I don't plow, but the deal was good, it was a left over) but I don't have any problems or complaints with the handling, steering, driving, or front end height.
you could always remove and sell the plow set up completely. most only use holes that were there from the factory, and a little touch up paint would cover any spots
good luck Phil
I just ordered a 2005 250 6.0L and put the snow plow prep package on it .. I've seen a bunch of trucks at the dealer with the package on them and it they look the same as the ones without it ... they all ride like trucks which is a good thing ...
The 6000lbs coils are a little stiffer but are only a 1\2in. taller, when I order my truck I am just going to have coils made to my specs, want it to handle a heavy plow and sit level (F-350) I miss the X-leaf springs already, the new coils are a step backwrds...
