a/c clutch
i replaced the a/c clutch.
the magnet is only intermittenly engaging.
can't figure out problem.
maybe i need a freon boost can't see how that would affect the clutch though.
i tried the differant shims supplied.it did the same thing.maybe my compressor spline is messed up from my bearing going bad.
please help ty.

You may indeed need a refrigerant recharge. If the pressure in the system is too low there is a switch in the compressor that will disengage the clutch to prevent damage to the compressor.
