Testing Trans Temp Gauge?

Ever since the air temps in my area have dropped below 40 degrees I haven't seen my trans temp gauge go above 100 degrees. Most of my driving is short trips around town, but shouldn't I see some rise in temps anyway? Its an aftermarket gauge and I was curious if there is any to test if its working properly?

Short trips + low temps = low readings.
Wait 'till summer - it will get up there then.
If you can't wait just tow your trailer around for 10 or 12 miles - that should do it. —

Trans temp guage

My is the same way, it runs about 105-110. I thouht at first is was not working properly, but everbody said it was normal. I added the guages, 4" exhaust, K&N, and Edge programer. 02 PSD
