I've always just looked at it during the day to familiarize myself with the location... waited until dusk and parked in front of the garage ... put tape on the garage where the top and side of beam is from 20 foot or so away and then started playing !
(I know, I know - all the warnings about not too high, etc...)
typically the bolts on the upper and lower edges allow up and down movement, and the bolts on the side allow left and right movement...
Ever notice that the passenger side headlights on our rigs are aimed a little high? I've had my wife driving my truck behind me and I noticed it. I've had other newer Fords following me and it was the same thing...

I thought those were only sold to us rednecks for poaching deer on the side of the road....
I did notice it, plus the driver's side was pointed more inward. I adjusted and re-adjusted a few weeks ago to get them just right.
It's a whole lot easier than on those older models.
Had my headlights adusted using a machine because people were flashing thier headlights at me. Turned out the up/down was OK but the passenger side headlight was too far to the left.
Same here....after two years of blinding oncomming people and shining directly into the car in front of me, I turned them down myself. Super simple to do. But there are on occassions that I wish I never touched them for that driver named......lets see, first name starts with a F****** and last name start with A******. It would be nice to shine it right in his ear again......gets them crazy to no end......especially when you move to the left just a bit and they get it in the rear view mirror and the side view..........
Sad thing is that I haven't fixed it yet!! You know when I remember to do it? When I see it which is rarely because I'm always the one driving. bah.... About two weeks after I bought the truck I took it in to have them check out the shifting issue and asked them to adjust the light while they were at it. "Yup, we fixed it. Your light popped out of the socket." Glad I checked before I left. Oh, wait, I didn't.... dagnabit! Guess I should just leave it for hunting! (we need a rifle smiley!)
Passenger side headlamps are normally angled a little higher to shine more light towards the ditch where interstate road signs are posted. It was very noticable in my S2000.

Yep, and since it is the passenger's side, it usually doesn't blind approaching vehicles from the opposite direction.
i have mine aimed down about as far as they will go but with the lift and tires they are still at perfect blinding height people flash at me all the time and ill flash my high beams right back at them.
Makes me wonder if they actually aim the headlights at the factory or are the lights manufactured with a preset adjustment and all they do on the assembly line is install them.

I promise you - no matter WHERE they are - it will blind them !!!
And I actually USE these lights all the time in the boonies... I like the double reach of the piaa's over even the upgraded stock bulbs and wiring harness I did!
