400 Cr
Hey, need help guys. I have a 77 400 truck engine on propane in my '78 f150 and Ive been told by the shop that built it that it has a 8:1 CR. Sounds about right....? The problem is its on propane and should be 10:1. Does anyone know where to get different pistons? Would Cleveland pistons raise the CR? if so which ones? Any sugestions? Thanks to all in advance.

Badger pistons makes a cast, flat top piston specifically designed to covert the 400 to natural gas or propane. It will not give you 10:1 compression however, closer to 9.5:1 depending on the overbore and machining you do on your block & heads.
