Hey Everyone,
Is there a way to raise the window without power. I replaced the tailgate and won't have time to fiddle with the motor/wiring for a week or two and would like to raise the window before the bad weather gets it. thanks in advance.

The regulator is a pain to move with the motor attached to it asicne the gearing is a worm drive. I put the side tracks back in mine and tied the lower edge of the window up by blocking the window's path back down into the gate for a few days when I was in the midst of redoing mine.
Can I just jump a battery to the wires coming from the tailgate or does it have to be connected from the switch, I would prefer troubleshooting from the switch at another time.
Ok, I just went through it. You will have 2 wires of simmilar color, purple I think. And a black wire. Take and run 12 volts through the 2 purple wires, reversing polarity to go up and down. The black wire is for the door key lock. If your not sure you want to do that or your harness is shot, You can take the access panel off and in the middle inside of gate where lock mechanism is there is a 2 wire plug. unplug it and find the half that runs strait down and under the window regulator. that wire goes up the back side to the motor. Should be Red and yellow. Jump those two wires to run the motor. swap + and - to get window to go in right direction. Good luck, Dave
