79 300 six part identification question
I'm not near the truck so I'm going to try this from memory... There is a diaphram/solenoid that bolts directly to the exhaust manifold on the passenger side front. It is located pretty much directly behind the smog pump. It has one vacuum line running from it to a tee and off the tee goes to a vacuum/temp switch near the thermostat housing Don't know where the other end went.
My problem is it has been leaking gasoline when I start it up to run it over the winter. I let it run long enough to heat up, just not long enough for any gas to flash off the manifold. Is it a leaking gasket or the part itself I don't know been working on other things? The truck has 35k, but had been sitting w/o starting for at least 10 years until I bought it last october. Been going through the rig bringing her up to snuff and don't want to burn her (and my house) to the ground b/c of this stupid problem.
Can anybody help identify this part with a name or a p/n. Anybody have this problem before? Your help is appreciated.
