Stuck Lockout
I have used 4x4 a lot this winter (30" of snow) and when the snow melted i unlocked the hubs and noticed my mpg down around 9. i run about 12mpg most of the time. Come to find out my right front hub was still locked in. It showed it was free but the shaft was not moving free. I played with it a little and got it to pop out. If you lock it in make sure its getting locked back out. A friend had the same problem and bought new lockouts Warrens they cost half what Ford replacement lockouts cost.
